TitleHelicopter, 2004DescriptionGeorge Ward Tjungurrayi was born in the Pintupi area, moving to a township in his 40s. He started painting in 1984, and paints mostly the sacred ceremony of Tingari Cycle Dreamings of his ancestral lands. After his elder brother – also an accomplished artist died, more responsibility fell to George and he became a senior lawmaker and elder in his community.
